We can use this information to better supply your kit, otherwise just leave on 'use arrow length'Certainly don't get carried away dissecting yourself down to the micron. You'll have better luck if you just play the averages and choose an initial draw length that's rounded up rather than down, keep in mind your draw length will settle with time and, being a little longer allows you to experiment.
Wing Span = Draw LengthTo measure your personal draw length, determine the length of your arm-span in inches. Stand with your arms out and palms facing forward. Don't stretch when measuring. Just stand naturally. Have someone else help you, and measure from the tip of one middle finger to the other. Then simply divide that number by 2.5. The quotient is your proper draw length (in inches) for your body size.
Arrow LengthIf this has been advised by your coach then stick with this, generally arrow length is a minimum of 1 to 2" more than your draw length.
General InformationAs a guide, most ILF fitting limbs are measured @ 28" amo, 26. 1/4" to the throat of the bow grip (pivot point) and used on a 25" handle. The poundage marked on the limbs is usually the lowest.Shifting the same limbs to a 23" riser will result in a weight increase of approximately two pounds.Another feature of most ILF fitting handles is adjustable tiller bolts, the position of these will also effect the draw weight of your limbs. Also although limbs may fit a wide range of handles when mixing manufacturers a slight difference in riser design can effect limbs weights slightly.
